Role of inflammation as an exacerbating factor involved in organ toxicity and methodological approaches

We are pleased to invite you to join the online event (6th-9th July 2021):

“Role of inflammation as an exacerbating factor

involved in organ toxicity and methodological approaches”

Organized by DISFEB

Inflammation is known to play a prominent role in several human diseases and is a common response to many stressors, including chemicals. Under normal conditions, inflammation is an adaptive process that contrast infections and is involved in tissue damage repair. However, chemicals can elicit prolonged, severe, and inappropriate inflammatory responses that play a central role in a variety of target organ toxicities. The purpose of this workshop is to provide knowledge on the contribution of inflammation to target organ toxicity from basic biology to experimental models, showing the Janus face of inflammatory reactions and novel approaches.
